About LignoNANO

Within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 1004 Center of Excellence Support Program, the LignoNANO Platform, entitled “High Value-Added Advanced Nanotechnological Materials and Systems for a Sustainable Circular Economy”, is being carried out under the leadership of SUNUM Sabancı University Nanotechnology Research and Application Center. The platform focuses on the development of high value-added advanced nanotechnological materials derived from woody biomass, aiming to contribute to a green and sustainable economy.

With a total budget of TRY 56.9 million, the LignoNANO Platform brings together 29 institutions/organizations and approximately 150 researchers, and is structured around 6 thematic areas and 11 projects.

The platform activities officially commenced with the kick-off meeting held on January 17, 2023, and over a four-year period, the platform is expected to generate a total of 29 end products, 28 by-products, and 29 intermediate products.
